Disney’s Free Train Tour Promotion

Disney is pulling out all the stops and taking its newest show on the road with an incredibly immersive and interactive 40-city train tour featuring a 3D sneak peek of their newest film “Disney’s A Christmas Carol”.

Featuring Jim Carrey, the film will open in theaters November 6th in the Disney Digital 3D and IMAX 3D formats.

Driven by Amtrack and sponsored by Hewlett Packard, The Train Tour will stop 1- 3 days at each of the 40 cities, erect a state-of-the-art Disney Digital 3D Theatre and show a sneak peek of “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” and other exclusive behind-the-scenes materials from the movie for free.

In addition, the tour will include:

  • Authentic artifacts on loan from the Charles Dickens Museum of London
  • Costumes, artwork and props from the film
  • A chance to morph your face into one of the films characters using their HP TouchSmart PCs.
  • Demonstrations of performance capture technology and
  • Four custom-designed vintage rail cars full of behind-the-scenes attractions.

Disney will also be donating $100,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Radio Disney will be inviting kids to enter for a chance to represent their hometown by become a Movie Surfer and appearing on the Disney Channel. In addition, kids will get an exclusive Movie Surfer prize package and a chance to win “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” gear.  To get a map of when the Train Tour will be in your area click here.
